Nike: Air to Earth Program

In 1998, Eco Educators was retained by Nike to develop and manage a teacher workshop series to accompany the Air to Earth environmental curriculum. Air to Earth specifically targeted the principles of sustainability in the collection and reuse of used athletic shoes into play surfaces. The curriculum and a teacher kit of materials were developed for students grades 4-9.

Between 1999-2003, Eco Educators' trainers reached over 650,000 students nationwide with important environmental messages presented in dynamic ways. Both teachers and students utilized the materials, and the training workshops received a consistent 97% "Outstanding" rating from participants.
